The Rig Safety & Training Coordinator plays an important part in creating a safe and healthy work environment on drilling rigs. The selected candidate will help ensure that every team member understands safety rules, follows company procedures, and works responsibly every day.
You will support the HSE Manager and work closely with supervisors, engineers, technicians, and rig crew members. Your main responsibility is to build a strong safety culture where everyone feels responsible for protecting themselves and others.
Daily work may include organizing safety meetings, conducting toolbox talks, monitoring safe work permits, checking compliance records, and ensuring that all emergency systems are ready. You will also guide workers on hazard awareness, risk prevention, and safe use of equipment.
Another key part of the role is training. You will prepare and deliver safety sessions for new employees and existing staff. These sessions may cover emergency response, PPE usage, fire prevention, lifting safety, working at height, confined space rules, and general rig safety procedures.
The coordinator will also perform inspections across the rig site. If unsafe practices or hazards are found, you will recommend corrective actions and follow up until issues are resolved. Accident or near-miss incidents must be reported properly, investigated professionally, and used as learning opportunities.
You will maintain training records, certification status, and attendance logs to ensure every worker remains compliant with company and legal standards.

Requirements
- At least 2 years in safety or training roles
- Minimum 5 years of rig experience
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Saudi OSH knowledge preferred
- NEBOSH certification preferred
- Ability to conduct audits and inspections
- Good understanding of drilling safety standards
- Problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to work on rigs and rotational schedules
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
