
Job Purpose
The main goal of this role is to grow the business by identifying opportunities in new countries and building strong market presence. The position involves planning and managing lubricant sales across the assigned region and product range within the global sales team. The focus is on delivering reliable sales support, achieving sales and profit targets, and maintaining long-term relationships with customers. Through clear communication and close teamwork, this role also helps strengthen the reputation and market presence of ADNOC Distribution.
Key Accountabilities
Sales Strategy Contribution
• Work closely with the Department Manager – International Sales to develop practical sales plans and achievable targets by reviewing market trends, customer demand, and business opportunities. Share the proposed plans with the VP/Department Manager for feedback and further direction.
Market Analysis
• Carry out market studies for new product opportunities by reviewing feedback and reports from agents and discussing current and future customer needs with section heads.
• Organize and manage different ways to collect market information and insights from available sources, making sure useful and reliable data is gathered even when resources are limited.
Sales Operations
• Explore new market opportunities within the assigned region and review the potential for ADNOC Lubricants business. Identify reliable companies that can represent ADNOC in those markets and evaluate them according to the company’s distributor selection standards.
• Prepare and update export price lists for each distributor in the region and submit recommended pricing for supervisor approval. Generate Sales Orders (Proforma Invoices) and follow up to convert them into confirmed orders.
• Promote the company’s lubricant products to increase sales by following the approved sales approach and reviewing past and current market performance.
• Meet the sales and margin targets set by management for the assigned territory.
• Stay in regular contact with key customers to build strong relationships, provide dependable support, and resolve any concerns quickly.
• Monitor competitor activities, including pricing, credit policies, sales performance, and marketing efforts, and share updates with the supervisor.
• Plan and conduct regular market visits, customer meetings, seminars, workshops, distributor staff training, and key account discussions.
• Support distributors and customers in setting realistic sales goals and preparing business plans for the assigned region.
• Represent the company at seminars and exhibitions, answer questions from participants, and follow up on potential business opportunities.
• Hold periodic meetings with agents and distributors to review customer feedback, discuss product performance, and address any issues while maintaining strong working relationships.
Marketing
• Work together with the Department Manager – International Sales, Senior Manager – Marketing Lubricants, and distributors to prepare marketing plans for each market in the assigned region. These plans should include activities for both retail and commercial segments.
• Carry out the approved marketing plans across the territory by using market understanding to suggest suitable product ranges, select the right distribution channels, set competitive pricing for customers and traders, and organize promotional activities to support sales growth.
Business Development
• Explore opportunities in different market segments by offering products and services that suit the specific needs of those segments.
• Expand the business by bringing in new customers within the existing markets.
• Review and identify possible marketing opportunities that can help strengthen and grow the ADNOC lubricants business.
• Support business growth by opening opportunities in new countries and building a presence in those markets.
Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams as well as external partners such as consultants, local and international organizations, and government authorities. Handle important matters quickly and professionally while following high standards of business ethics to ensure the organization receives the support and services it needs in the best possible way.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is also acceptable.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• Around 10 years of experience in lubricant sales operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory position, preferably within the lubricant industry.
• Strong understanding of the lubricant market, products, and sales practices.
• Experience in managing day-to-day business operations and sales activities.
• Proven ability to start and grow lubricant business in international markets.
• Experience in strengthening and improving the performance of international lubricant distributors.
• Good understanding of business workflows, operational processes, and related systems.
• Experience in preparing long-term business plans for the lubricant sector.
• Creative thinking and the ability to bring new ideas to support business growth.
• Awareness of ADNOC Distribution’s business goals, operational structure, and regional laws and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of financial planning and management
