Job Description
In this role, you will take charge of leading a team of Business Development Executives who are responsible for onboarding and growing merchants on ShopeeFood. Your focus will be on guiding your team to meet targets while ensuring they stay motivated, confident, and clear about their goals.
A big part of your day will involve coaching your team — helping them improve their sales approach, solve challenges, and close deals more effectively. You’ll monitor performance closely and step in wherever needed to keep things on track.
At the same time, you’ll also be actively involved in the field. Understanding the Johor Bahru market, identifying new opportunities, and connecting with local F&B businesses will be key to your success. You’ll work on building strong, long-term relationships with merchants so they not only join the platform but continue to grow with it.
You’ll collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and strategy to align on goals and execute campaigns that drive growth. Whether it’s planning promotions, analyzing competitors, or improving merchant engagement, your role will require both strategic thinking and practical execution.
Another important aspect of this role is problem-solving. Every market has its own challenges, and you’ll need to come up with solutions that work locally while still aligning with overall business objectives.

Salary
- MYR 7,000 – 12,000 per month

Requirements
To succeed in this role, here’s what you should bring:
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships
- Strong understanding of the Johor Bahru F&B and local market
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, or related field is a plus)
- Background in FMCG, food delivery, e-commerce, or related industries preferred
- Ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate across teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English (additional languages like Bahasa Melayu or Chinese are a plus)
- Willingness to work on-ground when required
- Problem-solving mindset with practical business thinking
