KPJ Selangor is looking for an experienced Head of Laboratory who can take full responsibility for managing and growing its medical laboratory services. This is not just a leadership role—it’s about creating a system where accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety come first every single day.
In this position, you will oversee the daily functioning of the laboratory, making sure all diagnostic services are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. From managing workflows to improving turnaround times, your focus will be on building a reliable and efficient lab environment.
You will also play an important role in shaping the future of the laboratory by planning strategies that support business growth. Monitoring key performance indicators, understanding service gaps, and introducing improvements will be part of your regular work.
Quality and compliance will always remain at the core of your responsibilities. You’ll ensure that all processes meet required standards like ISO 15189 and other healthcare regulations. Regular audits, maintaining SOPs, and promoting a strong safety culture will be part of your routine.
Leading people is another important part of this role. You’ll guide a team of laboratory professionals, support their growth, and make sure everyone is working together smoothly. Whether it’s training new staff or helping experienced team members grow, your leadership will shape the team’s success.
On the operational side, you’ll also manage budgets, control costs, and oversee equipment and resources to keep everything running efficiently. At the same time, you’ll stay connected with clinicians and partners, ensuring the lab continues to meet real clinical needs.

Salary
RM 10,000 – RM 18,000 per month (Approx.)

Requirements & Skills
- Strong knowledge of lab operations, quality systems, and compliance standards
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Proven experience in a senior laboratory or leadership role
- Good communication and problem-solving ability
- Leadership and team management skills
- Experience with audits, accreditation (ISO 15189, etc.) preferred
- Ability to manage operations, budgets, and performance metrics
